Tailthat

Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-11-04

These terms are an agreement between you and Shacklebolt Technologies ("Tailthat", "we", "us"), which operates tailthat.com. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Tailthat.

1. What Tailthat is, and is not

Tailthat is a discussion site where people post the sports bets they have made or plan to make and talk about them. It is a content platform only.

  • Tailthat is not a sportsbook, a bookmaker, a betting exchange, or a licensed gaming operator in any jurisdiction.
  • Tailthat does not accept, place, broker, settle, or pay out wagers, and it never handles your money. No deposits, no withdrawals, no balances.
  • Nothing on Tailthat is betting, financial, or legal advice. Posts are the opinions of the people who write them. Past results are not a promise of future ones.
  • Records, win rates, unit totals, and leaderboards are computed from bets that users entered themselves. We do not verify that a bet was actually placed, at what odds, or for how much.
  • Any dollar figures you see, including the optional unit size on a profile, are bookkeeping that a user typed in. They are not funds held by or owed to anyone.

2. Eligibility and the law where you live

  • You must be at least 21 years old, or the legal age for sports betting where you live if that is higher, to use Tailthat. You confirm this when you sign up. We may close an account if we have reason to believe this is not true.
  • Sports betting is illegal in some places. You alone are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you. Tailthat is void where prohibited.
  • Using Tailthat does not make any bet legal, and we cannot tell you whether a bet is legal for you.

3. Your account

  • You need a username and a password. We do not collect an email address, so we cannot reset a lost password. Keep yours safe.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us right away at the address below if you think someone else has access to it.
  • One person, one account. Do not share accounts or impersonate anyone.
  • Usernames are first come, first served. We may reclaim a username that impersonates a person, a sportsbook, a team, or a league, or that is used to spam.

4. Your content

  • You own what you post. By posting it you give Tailthat a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, reproduce, and adapt it for the purpose of running and promoting the site. This includes the share-card images we generate from posts, profiles, and tags so links to Tailthat unfurl on other sites.
  • Public posts are public. They appear in the feed, on your profile, on tag and game pages, in search engines, and in share cards. Posts in a room are visible to every member of that room, and anyone with the room's invite link can join.
  • Deleting a post removes it from the site and from the sitemap, but copies may remain in search engine caches, on other sites where a share card was posted, and in our backups for a limited time.
  • You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to post.

5. Receipts and screenshots

  • You may attach a screenshot of a bet slip ("receipt") to a post. Before uploading, crop or redact anything you do not want public: your name, account number, balance, bonus details, location, or anything about another person.
  • We store and display receipts as uploaded. We do not verify them and we do not inspect them for sensitive details before they appear.
  • Receipts are stored in our database and deleted when the post or the account is deleted.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Tailthat to:

  • Sell or solicit payment for picks, run a touting service, or push people to paid groups, Discords, or Telegram channels.
  • Post affiliate links, promo codes, or referral links for sportsbooks or anything else.
  • Spam, flood, or post the same thing repeatedly; use bots or scripts to post, react, follow, or scrape.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or post hateful content.
  • Post anyone's personal information, including another person's bet slips.
  • Impersonate a person, sportsbook, team, league, or Tailthat itself.
  • Post anything illegal, including anything that would help a minor bet or help anyone bet where it is prohibited.
  • Probe, break, or overload the site, or try to access data or accounts that are not yours.

We may remove content, limit features, or close an account that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe harms the site or its users, with or without notice.

7. Scores, lines, and third-party data

  • Schedules, scores, and lines on Tailthat come from third-party sources. They are unofficial, may be wrong, late, or missing, and may change after a bet is graded.
  • Bets are graded automatically from those sources and can be regraded by their authors. A grade on Tailthat is not a settlement, has no effect on any real wager, and is not a basis for any claim against us.
  • Tailthat is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ESPN, any sportsbook, or any league or team. Sportsbook, league, and team names appear only to describe what a user bet on; they are trademarks of their owners.

9. Disclaimers

Tailthat is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that records or grades are correct, or that any content is accurate or lawful.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Shacklebolt Technologies and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost money, lost wagers, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of Tailthat or from any content on it, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tailthat is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Shacklebolt Technologies from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of Tailthat, or your breach of these terms.

12. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Tailthat at any time and may ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close your account at any time for any reason, including the reasons in section 6. Sections 4, 7 through 11, and 13 survive the end of the agreement.

13. General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Shacklebolt Technologies is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
  • If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Tailthat.
  • We may change these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, show a notice on the site. Using Tailthat after a change means you accept it.
